Another Cochlear Update

Last week I had an appointment with my “right ear” audiologist (I have one for my hearing aid ear and one for my bionic cochlear ear). It went well.  Not as great as I had hoped, but the news was positive for someone that has failed to do their homework. (I’m supposed to practice listening with just my right ear, but in order to do that I have to completely block the noise out of my left ear. Crazy Whirlwind Month

May flew by. I mean FLEW. Asa finished preschool, we packed and prepared for our Disney Cruise, went on said cruise, came home (after the LONGEST day at the airport EV-ER),  had the boys 1st and 4th birthday party, and then sold our house. Yup. Cur-a-zy. Cochlear Update

I’m planning on posting another room this week, but we had friends come over last night so I didn’t get it done. Anyway, I just wanted to update you all on my Cochlear progress.  In March we did testing and my word recognition scores improved from 44% to 62%. I was supposed to start my homework (listening to simple words and learning what they sound like) and I failed. Miserably. I *sort of* forgot I had homework until last week (what can I say?
