A Vintage/Anthropologie Inspired Little Man Baby Shower

Fox Cake

I’m excited to share this vintage, Anthropologie, little man inspired baby shower with you all today! Back in April a sweet friend of mine was going to be having a baby boy. I wanted to help plan/style the party. Since Tish (my friend) is a lover of all things eclectic, and is a photographer, it made sense to combine the two loves and create this dessert table. We wanted to bring an indoor nursery outside and created a faux wall to help feature the desserts. We used family pictures, art, “G’ for baby Greyson, and a DIY deer head (my […]

*Whew* and We’re Back!

photo

Hey guys! Sorry I have been MIA for the last month.  It has been crazy!  I have wanted to blog so badly but I haven’t had the time.  Last month we decided to put our house one the market.  An awesome plan, except we had SO much work to do on the house before we could list it.  It has felt like every spare moment has been spent scouring Craigslist, making Home Depot and Lowes runs, and doing work on the house.  We have been eating simple meals, staying up too late and physically draining ourselves to get the house […]

Totally Awesome Toddler Food Fun

DSC_8402

I may or may not have an obsession.  It depends who you ask.  I kind of have a crazy love for cute, but practical, food accessories.  Actually- it’s not a “kind of” love- but a head over heels, total junky needs to go to rehab love (if you ask my hubby anyway). I love bentos.  I have for a few years- like before Asa turned one because it wasn’t huge in the USA yet and I was looking everywhere to find adorable food picks and rice molds.  In particular, I love C-U-T-E bentos. A great Americanized version is Muffin Tin Meals– […]

I’m back!- Sort of

I have to say, the last few weeks at my house have been INSANE.  It has just been one thing after another, but through it all, God is still good. It all started with the crazy weather.  We had some of the coldest temperatures on record a few weeks ago.  It was in the -14 area I think.  For people up north I’m sure that is nothing, but for us in the south, that is huge!  Schools were cancelled, businesses closed, and APS couldn’t start their buses.  We ended up having a frozen water pipe (which thankfully did NOT burst), […]

Do you Use Craigslist?

I love Craigslist.  I have been using it *almost* since being back in Albuquerque.  I think it really started (kicked into high gear anyway) for me when we moved into our first rental house and continued after we moved into our own. We have had so much success on Craigslist it has been just great.  While I have some complaints (people spamming the site, etc.), the only MAJOR drawback was having to click on EVERY SINGLE LISTING I wanted to look at and then go back and find a new one to look at.  A long time ago I made […]

2010- A New Year, A New Commitment

Happy_New_Year

Wow.  2009 was amazing.  It was crazy but beautiful.  Asa celebrated his first birthday, Greg and I celebrated our 5 year anniversary, and we enjoyed every trial and joy along the way.  We bought our first house in December of ’08 (missing the tax credit by 20 days! Uggg!), renovated it throughout 2009, and opened it up to host community group, parties, and a roommate.  We saw some family highs and some family lows.  Overall, 2009 was a good year.  Thank you Jesus for letting us experience it, safe, happy and healthy. I realize I have not been faithful to […]
