Christmas Traditions: Decorating Gingerbread Houses

Christmas 2012 Traditions: Decorating Gingerbread Houses

I big-ol-heart Christmas. The month of December is one of my favorite of the year. I love the food, the gift giving, the decor, and the traditions. (Of course I feel I should add- the bestest part of Christmas is Jesus!) Christmas at our house brings with it lots of traditions. Some of them are from our childhoods (like decorating houses!) and some of them are new ones that we started as a family. This year, since Greg was serving at the church all day Sunday, Asa and I decided to invite a friend and his mom to come decorate […]

Amy Atlas Feature

Amy Atlas featured my Skippyjon Jones Birthday Party! Oh man you guys. I am SO excited to share this with you. It’s been really hard to keep it a secret, but I now I can finally tell you! I submitted the boys Skippyjon Jones birthday party to the queen of dessert tables Amy Atlas, and they choose to feature my party! Whoo hoo!!! I would apologize for the overuse of exclamation points, but I’m that excited! Anyway, you can go check out the feature here. I’ll have more on the party up a little later today. YAY!!! Tweet

Skippyjon Jones Birthday Party

I am so excited to share todays Skippyjon Jones Birthday Party with you! We missed having a 3rd birthday for Asa (since my preggo belly was about to explode at any moment) so I started planning his 4th almost right away. After I got the pictures (from the lovely Courtney Miller), I knew I wanted to submit the party to Amy Atlas for a feature. (But first I had to get the guts to send it in!) So I finally did and now that she has featured it, I can post the details! A few years ago, a good friend […]

Crazy Whirlwind Month

May flew by. I mean FLEW. Asa finished preschool, we packed and prepared for our Disney Cruise, went on said cruise, came home (after the LONGEST day at the airport EV-ER),  had the boys 1st and 4th birthday party, and then sold our house. Yup. Cur-a-zy. So I know I have been promising the rest of the house picks, some more showers and some more recipes, but I kindly ask for your patience.  I’m still working out my summer routine and throwing in packing and moving to the mix is just a little nutso. What I can say: 1. Alaska […]

The House- Bathrooms

Bathroom4

Sorry I missed posting this last week, time got away from me.  We had a shower for a sweet friend Saturday, so I was busy working on getting that done. When we moved into the house we knew we were going to have to redo the 3/4 bath, but the guest bath (though ugly), was in good condition and didn’t need much work. Here is what we did in the guest bath: Yup, blue walls, an ugly light fixture, ugly shower curtain and old sink fixtures. To update the room (without doing a complete makeover- yes I know that new […]
